TAN’s Video Game Charity

Travel Advantage Network raised $850 over the course of one month for the video game charity, Child’s Play. Charity champion, Tiffany Bartee spearheaded this month’s charity at Travel Advantage Network. Bartee works as an account specialist within the organization and chose this charity because it touches her heart.

“This charity means so much to me because I have had friends and family in the hospital for long stays. The thought of a child confined to one place for so long in such an unfortunate situation can make anyone feel helpless. If there’s anything that I can do to make their stay even marginally fun, I’m going to do whatever I can,” explained Bartee

Child’s Play is a video game charity that seeks to improve the lives of children in hospitals around the world through generous donations. The organization was founded in 2003 by two young gentlemen fighting to keep the negative portrayal of video gamers at bay. The pair established the organization in Seattle donating video games and video game consoles to the Seattle Children’s Hospital every holiday season.

Throughout the month of January, Bartee organized fundraising events such as a 50/50 raffle, employee pay to wear jeans and football jersey day, video game tournament, silent auction, and a delicious chili lunch day. The charity was successful, capping off at $850. A huge thanks to those that participated and best of luck to the Child’s Play organization in reaching their charitable goal this year!
